About the role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Lund. You will play a key role in the development of new production equipment, improving existing machines, and ensuring that our production maintains the highest possible quality. Your responsibilities will include participating in projects focused on innovative technologies and production methods. A central part of the mission will also be to drive our development towards Industry 4.0. This means creating conditions for real-time data collection, enabling smarter and faster decision-making such as predictive maintenance on our machine lines, to increase availability and reduce unplanned downtime. In this role, you will collaborate with internal customers, suppliers, and our other sites around the world. You will be a vital driving force and competence for our production equipment in the projects you participate in, aiming to strengthen stability, availability, and efficiency in our processes.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Driving and participating in technical projects focused on the development of production equipment, performance improvement, and introduction of new products.
  • Developing and implementing automation solutions in close collaboration with colleagues, internal customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Supporting factories with new investments and automation projects through technical advice and requirements specification.
  • Contributing to the introduction of predictive maintenance by creating solutions for data collection and analysis of machine data.
  • Practically developing technical solutions, including drawings, instructions, and documentation.
  • Continuously improving and optimizing our machines, processes, and technologies in line with Industry 4.0.
  • Ensuring close collaboration with maintenance, production, and project management to create sustainable and effective solutions.

Who you are

You are a curious and solution-oriented person with a strong technical interest. You thrive where technology, data, and production meet, and are motivated by developing machines and production equipment. You are analytical, communicative, and used to collaborating across functions. You enjoy working practically with technology while contributing to strategic initiatives such as Industry 4.0 and tomorrow's production and automation solutions.

What you can offer

  • A degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics (bachelor's or master's degree).
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing automation solutions or similar.
  • Good knowledge of CAD and PDM (Inventor, Vault, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
  • Good knowledge in design, automation, and project management.
  • Experience in electrical design, PLC programming (Siemens or Rockwell), and ABB robot systems is a plus.
  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • A strong drive, solution-oriented approach, and passion for innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

We offer you

We offer you a challenging position in an international, open, and friendly environment with the opportunity to create value for our customers and develop. The nature of the position also means that you will collaborate closely with many different parts of our organization, giving you both broad business knowledge and a global network of colleagues.

The position is based in Lund, and you will be part of the GCC-Technology department reporting to the Team Manager Production Engineering. The role includes approximately 20 travel days per year.
